Halfway up the main road leading to Capoliveri on the right hand side there is a crossroads which leads to the beaches of Barabarca and Zuccale (on the right hand side of a small chapel just after the crossroads and then immediately left).
There are 2 large car parks, a smaller one on the left towards Barabarca and another on the right above Zuccale. Meter car parking costs roughly 0,75c per hour.
To reach Barabarca there is a small pathway leading down from the smaller car park on the left hand side. There are several steps to descend and it is not suitable for taking pushchairs down or for people with walking difficulties.

The bay is quite sheltered from most of the winds that usually blow on the island. The beach is made up of mixed sand and small stones and a lot of banks of beached algae. The fragrant Mediterranean scrub also grows down onto the beach.
As you descend, the view of the sea is magnificent, the sandbanks model the seabed into a wonderful place location for snorkelling.
There is a small bar on the beach where pedal boats and canoes can be rented. The rocks on the right hand side of the beach are for naturists.
