A fascinating beach of fine sand set between the promontory of Punta della Contessa and Capo Fonza.
It can be reached from the main road connecting Lacona and Marina di Campo by turning off the road on the left hand side onto a small road which leads to Camping Laconella. Proceed by going past the campsite on the left and parking in one of the very few spots available at the side of the small dirt road. The path which leads to the beach, about 100m. long , is in very bad condition and you must take care negotiating potholes and cracks.
The greater part of the beach is covered in a lovely pale, fine sand. Only on the right hand side there are heaps of smooth stones , some very large. The water remains quite shallow for a good distance from the shore, permitting refreshing paddling and safe playing for children.
The rocks on each side are really ideal for snorkeling and admiring the variety of fish which populate the local sea. It is also worth walking on the rocks past the Punta della Contessa, on the left of the beach, from where the large beach of Lacona can be admired.
