This is a very large beach, over 750m. long by 25m. wide, exposed to the South-East, situated at the base of Capo Stella on the left of the promontory facing the sea. The beach is easily accessed, a viable road leads right to it. There is however, no real car park and cars must be left along the roadside.
It is composed of well worn, smooth shingle of various dimensions, grey and reddish in colour. There are also small patches of sand. Despite its size it is usually a very quiet beach. The nearby beach of Lacona, just on the other side of the promontory attracts the majority of young people and children in the area.
Access to the beach is free apart from a small bathing concession belonging to a residence which also runs the bar-restaurant facilities. On the right-hand side a crane permits the launching of small and medium sized boats from the slipway. They can then take advantage of the small existing harbour for mooring. On the beach there is a rent for canoes and deckchairs and a surf school and rental.
The view stretches along the Capoliveri coast , as far as the little Gemini islands and on the right we can
see the promontory of Capo di Stella. To the rear of the beach is a lovely pine wood, which unfortunately is
private property and not therefore not accessible. The beach has wheelchair access.
