Note: On leaving Portoferraio head for Porto Azzurro and after about 4 km turn left for Bagnaia. Continue for a further 4 km, until you come to a sign indicating the beach.
There is a magnificent view of the Portoferraio promontory from the shingle beach where there are various bathing establishments, bars and restaurants and boat-hire facilities.
