Note: Situated on the north side of the island, you can get to the beach from two different points, both of which can be reached from the road that leads from Portoferraio to Le Ghiaie, following indications for Padulella and Enfola. After passing Le Ghiaie beach, continue for about 300 metres until you come to a footpath which is barred for vehicle transit.
A short walk, during which you can enjoy an impressive view of the surrounding coastline and the imposing mediaeval walls, takes you to the beach.
Since there is no car-park, this route is not recommended to anyone arriving by car.
Tourists arriving by car are advised to continue along the main road for another 200 metres, following indications for Capo Bianco, where there is large car park. Leave your car in the car-park and walk down a narrow lane with villas on either side until, after a few metres, you arrive at the beach covered with white shingle and seaweed..
Sheltered from the sirocco wind and never over-crowded, its transparent water and tourist facilities make Padulella beach ideal for anyone looking for peace and quiet and a relaxing holiday.
