The strong>Tremestieri ferry is the Accaiarello ferry's twin sister, and is the Blu Navy shipping company's second ferry on the Portoferraio-Piombino crossing in spring and in summer. that can carry up to 220 vehicles.
The Tremestieri, like the Acciarello, is a two-way ferry: both drive systems are independant so it can go both forwards and backwards, thus greatly reducingmanoeuvre time as well asembarkation and disembarkation time for passengers and vehicles on board.
It does eight crossings a day from each port thus granting Blu Navy Elba a deeper development amd making Elba somewhat nearer.
