To take the ferry to the Island of Elba, whether arriving from the North or South, you need to reach the port of Piombino, where there is the small Piombino Marittima train station and the bus station, both located in front of the ferry embarkation areas.
For train schedules, you need to consult the Trenitalia website, ensuring you input Piombino Marittima as the arrival station (and not Piombino).
Some train lines terminate at Campiglia Marittima, where it is necessary to change trains or continue by bus to the port of Piombino Marittima.
The bus connection, operated by Autolinee Toscane, takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the destination. Two lines are active: line 200 (Elba Link) and line 02A.
Warning: On Trenitalia, the bus connections between Campiglia Marittima and Piombino Porto are not displayed!

Infoelba recommends: Before leaving for your return journey, make sure to get information, schedules, and tickets on the Trenitalia website. The Piombino Marittima station has only one self-service ticket machine, and there are few agencies on Elba that are authorized by FFSS.
Infoelba recommends: On vacation on Elba without your own means of transport? No problem!
Thanks to the online reservation system, you can rent a car, rent a scooter to explore the island with full autonomy. A vehicle for every need and budget!
