The production of extra virgin olive oil on the Island of Elba, despite some challenges, continues to maintain its tradition and quality.
Numerous olive groves are scattered across the Elban territory, and many farmhouses and farms cultivate olive trees to produce excellent extra virgin olive oil, using typical Tuscan olive varieties such as Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo, and Pendolino.
Among the farmhouses that produce and sell their own oil, we find Agriturismo Casa Marisa, Agriturismo Sapereta, Azienda Agricola La Sabatinaccia, and Hotel La Feluca, which offer visitors the opportunity to purchase their own-produced oil directly.
For pressing, there are currently two private mills on the island: Podere Arduini located in Mola and Costagli (Hotel La Feluca), located in Bagnaia.
It is possible to buy oils produced on the Island of Elba by contacting the farmhouses, the mills, or by looking in local stores specializing in typical products and wine shops.
Infoelba recommends: The oil of the Island of Elba can also be purchased at the Agro-food market in the Procchio equipped park.
The extra virgin olive oil produced on the Island of Elba is renowned for its golden color and rich bouquet of aromas, which pair perfectly with meat dishes, fish, and other culinary specialties.
