The Island of Elba is a paradise for lovers of trekking and mountain biking. And this is not rhetoric, but the pure reality: the Elba Island trail network with its 314 km and 60 km of unpaved roads is an invitation to hikes and bike excursions.
For comparison: against the approximately 374 km of trails and white roads, Elba has "only" 220 km of paved roads, with an average of 1.4 km of trails per square kilometer and only 0.9 km of roads!

That’s why we can confidently say that Elba has more kilometers of hiking paths than roads, and that hiking and MTB enthusiasts can explore every corner of the island on foot or by bike!
About 50% of Elba's territory is part of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park and all the trails are free to use.
Some of these trails are technical or very long, while others are very easy and suitable for everyone, including young children, making them perfect for family walks or groups of friends with varying levels of experience.
Climbing to the summit of Monte Capanne, walking along the coast, or cycling through the woods? The choice is yours! All the trails are as varied as the Elba landscape, so the destination becomes the journey itself!
