Specail events held in winter on the Island of Elba

On the Island of Elba many different types of special events take place throughout the year, and they are always very popular becuase they are closely linked to the traditions and culture of Elba.

Autumn is very lively thanks above all to food&wine festivals: the Grape Festival, the Mushroom Festival, the Autumn Festival, the Chestnut Festival and the Squid Festival, all with an enticing and tempting aroma and flavour.

If you love walking with Mother Nature all around you then you will want to take advantage of the guided excursions organized by the Tuscan Archipelago National Park or take part in a trail or foot race run by the various sports associations in Elba: many of these outings are completely free of charge so as to enable everybody to live nature on the Island of Elba 365 days a year.

The Park also organizes "Winter in the Park", that is, various activities concerning environmental education and animation as well as citizen science activities. Conferences on environment and nature, gastronomical delicacies, bricolage and laboratories for children are but a few of the free of charge activities that you can take part in.
