Historical places to get married in on the Island of Elba

In Portoferraio, there are many other places where civil weddings can be held and receptions organized: Forte Inglese, the Medici Fortresses, the ancient cloister at the entrance of the Biscotteria Palace, and the complex of Linguella, a unique place kissed by the sea and history, making it incredibly captivating.

Even the municipality of Rio, on the eastern side of the island, has highlighted some of its most beautiful and historical sites. Places with an ancient charm that never fail to enchant.

One example is the Public Washhouse of Rio nell'Elba, an environment full of suggestion, wrapped in a magical and enchanting aura; also of great interest are the Appiani Tower in Rio Marina and the historic Garibaldi Theatre, known as the "Teatrino", a venue dedicated to concerts, performances, and cultural events.

In Marciana, a highly sought-after location for wedding celebrations is the spacious courtyard within the ancient walls of the fortress. A suggestive setting for meetings, performances, and gala dinners, it is also a refuge where two young newlyweds can crown their dream of love.

Not far from the main square of the town is the Collegiata di San Sebastiano, a 16th-century deconsecrated church now used for wedding ceremonies.

Also in the municipality of Marciana, civil ceremonies can be held in the picturesque gardens of Procchio, among granite fountains and meadows, with the gentle hills in the background enveloping the landscape.
