A particularly fascinating beach due to its black sand and small black pebbles that make it up, and the almost sheer coastline that surrounds it, with the greenery reaching right up to the beach.
The panorama from here is stunning, dominating the entire Capoliveri coast, from Norsi beach to the Gemini islets in front of the Innamorata beach. What makes it even more magical is the transparency of the water that reflects the seabed, which descends and can be admired from above.
The beach is divided into two parts by a small rock protrusion. Made mostly of sand and small black pebbles, it is a particularly hot beach: it is therefore advisable to bring an umbrella to shelter from the sun.
The high, rugged coastline and the particularly steep path with a drop of about 100 meters make it very difficult to reach the beach. As it is not easily accessible, it has always been an ideal place to practice naturism. With a resolution from 2015, the municipality of Capoliveri decided to regulate this practice, making the Acquarilli beach reserved for naturism (FKK).
There are no services on the beach, so it is recommended to stop at the bar in the parking lot before heading down to the beach.
How to reach Acquarilli beach
From the Portoferraio-Porto Azzurro provincial road, at the intersection for Lacona, head towards Lacona. Pass the signs for Norsi beach and continue to the promontory on the left, clearly marked as, since 2016, the promontory is a paid parking area. There are some street parking spaces and about twenty spaces in the paid parking lot.
To reach Acquarilli beach, there is a path on the right when facing the sea.
