Felciaio beach in Capoliveri, on the Island of Elba

The beach is a small gem that has remained untouched over time, where you can fully enjoy peace and relaxation. It is divided into two parts by a convenient pathway.

The first small beach, where there is a bar, is often covered with piles of posidonia, preserving a charming wild appearance. 

The next beach is characterized by a cliff, partly natural and partly artificial, which creates a sort of pool with a sandy bottom. This spot is particularly fascinating for its crystal-clear water, which, with its clarity and beauty, resembles that of a lagoon.

In the vicinity of the main beach, there are other small pebble coves, which can be reached by walking along the cliff (not too easy to navigate), perhaps wearing sandals and being cautious.

The crystal-clear sea and the presence of cliffs rich in marine life invite you to go snorkeling; just equip yourself with a mask and fins to enjoy the underwater landscape.

The beach is completely free, with no bathing establishments or rentals.

From the beach, you can see the panorama of the island’s southwest coast: from the promontory of Capo di Stella to the entire Capoliveri side of Monte Calamita, and in front, the island of Montecristo.

How to reach it

From the provincial road Portoferraio - Porto Azzurro / Capoliveri in the Valdana area, a sign indicates the direction to Felciaio, where there is a large, well-marked paid parking lot (10 euros for the whole day - 5 euros from 4 p.m.). From the parking lot, follow a narrow dirt path that leads to the beach in about 300 meters. To reach the parking lot, you can also take a small road before Lido di Capoliveri, which connects to the previous one.
