Tiny, pristine and rugged beach

The coast between Patresi and Chiessi, in the Commune of Marciana, has many truly fascinating, tiny inlets that sit in the heart of totally pristine nature.

Le Buche beach sits at the foot of a small, rugged valley with steep cliffs towering over it that go right down as far as the water's edge.

It is about 50 metres long and consists of large dark coloured pebbles and stones of different sizes that have crumbled down from various landslides. The sea is crystal clear and shallow till quite far out. Since the beach consists of large stones we advise you to wear plastic sandals if you want to go into the water.

The beach isn't usually very crowded so is perfect for those who love pristine, rugged and quiet places.

The sea bed is perfect if you want to go snorkelling or scuba diving.

Facing north-west, it gets the Libeccio winds from the north. There are no facilities on the beach.
