The coastline than lies between Seccheto and Fetovaia, in the Commune of Campo nell'Elba, is considered one of the most beautiful on the Island of Elba.
Le Piscine rocks above all, to the west of Seccheto beach, are smooth, flat granite slabs that are perfect for lying on.
The area is about 150 metres long, and thanks to the unique conformation of the rocks, there are lots of tiny, natural pools just off the shore created by the waves, hence the name Le Piscine ("swimming pools")
Lying on these granite rocks is perfect if you want to get the sun all day because they keep the heat, so this makes them ideal if you love sunbathing even at the cooler time of the year.
Well sheltered from the winds blowing from the north east to north west, they can be looked upon as a natural paradise where the water is unbelievably clear.
Le Piscine rocks are famous also because they are very popular among nudists.
How to get to Le Piscine rocks
Take the main road that goes from Fetovaia to Marina di Campo and about 1 km before you get to Seccheto you will see some grit lay-bys along the side of the road where you can park. A short walk of some ten metres from any one of them will take you right to the rocks and the sea.
