Le Tombe beach in Marina di Campo, on the Island of Elba

Le Tombe, aside from its eerie name, likely given due to the presence of some Etruscan tombs nearby, is one of the most beautiful wild beaches of Elba. No services on the beach, at least 15 minutes of walking to get there, a nice uphill climb on the way back, no visible buildings, just pristine sea, sunshine, and dark pebbles to lie on.

Getting to the beach is quite difficult, it takes about 15 minutes to descend and 20 minutes on the way back, along a nice uphill path, without any shade. Despite the difficulty, it is fascinating to venture toward the sea, always accompanied by the intoxicating scents of the Mediterranean scrub: lavender, rosemary, pink and white cistus.

Infoelba recommends: It is advisable to wear closed and comfortable shoes when descending along the path. Flip-flops and sandals are not recommended.

The beach is about 1 kilometer long, made up of black pebbles of varying sizes, and is located in the stretch of coastline between Giardino Beach and Aliva Beach (or Cala dell'Alga). Between the beaches, large rocks alternate, which cannot be used for sunbathing.

It is the ideal beach for those who, even without a boat, desire the tranquility of a semi-deserted environment even during peak tourist periods.

With a resolution from 2022, the municipality of Campo nell'Elba has decided to make Le Tombe Beach authorized for the practice of naturist tourism (FKK).

How to reach it

Coming from Marina di Campo, after passing Cavoli, Seccheto, and Fetovaia, be very careful on the right for a sign indicating "via Panoramica." After a curve, there is a small area on the left where you can park (there is space for about ten cars). Following the road signs, it is practically at km 16 of provincial road 25.
