Remaiolo beach in Capoliveri, on the Island of Elba

Remaiolo Beach is located within the wildlife reserve of the Tenuta delle Ripalte on Mount Calamita. It is about 100 meters long and consists of light sand. On the right, it is protected by a small rocky spur, beyond which lies the Vetrangoli Beach. To the left, the more majestic Ripalti Point protects it from all eastern winds.

In front of the beach lies the Remaiolo Rock, a popular destination for scuba diving enthusiasts due to its abundance of fish, gorgonians, and lobsters.

Like Remaiolo, the coast offers other interesting and solitary beaches, including White Beach, Black Beach, and the Stagnone, all of which belong to an area where the red rocks rich in iron and the glimmer of minerals mixed with the sand are the main characteristics.

Remaiolo Beach is the only equipped beach on the Costa dei Gabbiani and has a fresh pine forest behind it for those looking to find relief during the hot summer days.

How to get to Remaiolo Beach

Remaiolo Beach is primarily accessible to guests of the “Tenuta delle Ripalte”. To reach it by car, a reservation for beach service is required, subject to availability. Upon arrival at the tourist facility, you must leave a copy of your identity document at the reception.

Another valid alternative if you don't want to miss this charming stretch of coast is to use a boat. By sea, you can admire a landscape of exceptional beauty, extending from Punta Calamita to Capo Calvo, where you can still spot the ruins and the now rusted remains of the unloading docks from the old Ginevro iron mines, while in the numerous cliffs overlooking the sea, thousands of royal seagulls nest.
