Remontò beach in Marciana Marina, on the Island of Elba

Remontò beach is on the northern coast of the Island of Elba where lush vegetation covers the entire coastline; it is about 1,5 km from the town of Marciana Marina and about 5,5 km from Procchio.

It is a very small beach, measuring less than 60 square metres, and consists of medium/large white pebbles mixed with grey/black smaller stones. The dark coloured rocks on either side are perfect for sunbathing while the high, lush coast behind it is cooler because it is in the shade for most of the day.

If you like walking, there is a path along the cliffs to the left that takes you as far as the terracings of the Intur Residence, and the unique view from here is breathtaking: crystal clear water, and white and dark pebbles on the sea bed.

The rocks in the water are perfect if you want to go  snorkelling.

There are no facilities on the beach, and being very ruggedmeans it is perfect if you prefer very quiet beaches above all in peak season.

Although southern winds blow here, it is partially sheltered on the east by Punta Schioppo.

It looks onto the gulf of Viticcio and the Enfola promontory. There is no access for the disabled.

How to get to the beach

Access to the beach is about 5,2 km from the town of Procchio and 1,5 km from the town of Marciana Marina and it is clearly signposted along the main road. Although there is a sign that says private property on the area around the beach you are allowed to cross the pine wood in order to get there; just go down the beautiful stone and granite steps that get you right to the rocks.

There is no way you can park your car along the main road.
