Salandro beach is about 40 metres in length and is one of two magnificent and rugged beaches between Marina di Campo beach and [page id="711]]Galenzana beach[/page] and lies in a very lush part of the coast.
It is made up of both shingle and pebbles, and depending on the time of year and the waves, you might find a lot of washed up posidonia on the beach that has dried in the sun.
Just like [page id="905]Salandro Due[/page] and Galenzana, Salandro beach is a tiny heaven on earth, surrounded by lush, Mediterranean bush that grows right as far as the beach and also on the rocks.
It isn't a very well known beach becuase it is somewhat difficult to get to on foot, and this means that it is normally rather empty and very quiet..The entire area is very suggestive, an area where both the breathtaking colours of the sea bed and the surrounding nature are reflected in the crystal clear water; those who like to swim under water with their mask and snorkel or love going snorkelling will find the beach fascinating.
There are no facilities on the beach.
It sits well sheltered in the gulf of Campo, and only gets some winds from the south and north-west.
How to get to Salandro beach
You can only get there either by seaor by walking along the rocks from the nearby Galenzana beach (for about 130 metres). Years ago there was a path that connected Marina di Campo to Galenzana beach, but today the vegetation is so overgrown that the path no longer exists.
