Comfort and peace and quiet

Seccheto beach is about 130 metres long and about 40 metres at its widest point. It is along the Costa del Sole, halfway between the beaches of Cavoli and [page id=287"]Fetovaia[/page], and is surrounded by beautiful cliffs.

coarse grain sand, that is typical of the beaches on the western side of Elba, and opens out to a beautiful bay that faces south. The majestic massif of Monte Capanne that is at the back of this beach protects it from any of the northern winds.

If you have a small boat, you can moor it at the wharf in the small gulf to the right of the beach, that you can also get to by car.

The beach is considered a very quiet beach, so it is perfect for families with small children. Several factors make the beach perfect for children: it is so easy to get to, it is sandy, and there are numerous facilities to be found both on the beach and in the town itself.

Those who wish peace and quiet will love the smooth, granite rocks that are perfect for sunbathing.

Just before you get to Seccheto, you will see some granite slabs on the left that you can reach by going down a path that starts off from the main road: known as Le Conche, they go down as far as the water so are perfect for diving.

Past the small mooring wharf you have what are known as Le Piscine, a number of flat, smooth slabs of granite, and when the sea fills the spaces in between them, they form sort ofnatural swimming pools. They are perfect if you want to do some sunbathing and also if you want to dive into the unbelievably blue water, and for years they have also been very popular among nudists.

How to get to the beach

The beach is just off the small town bearing the same name so it is easy to get to either by car (or by bus via the public bus service), just follow the frequent road signs along the western ring road. Seccheto is about 6 km from Marina di Campo and is covered by the public bus service.

Since there is very little parking space we advise you to park your car at the side of the road then walk down to the beach.
