Fishing tourism on the Island of Elba is a unique experience that allows you to get in touch with the tradition of local fishermen and enjoy an unforgettable day among the sea, fishing and genuine flavours. With Elba Pesca Turismo, in Marina di Campo, you can board a modern fishing boat and set off to discover the island’s most hidden coves, actively taking part in fishing techniques and tasting freshly caught fish cooked on the spot. Captain Giuliano Feola, a third-generation fisherman from Elba, will guide you on this journey focused on sustainability and the unspoilt nature of Elba.
Your adventure begins aboard Iselba IV, a comfortable and modern boat designed to ensure maximum comfort during boat trips on the Island of Elba. With large spaces on two decks, the boat is ideal for groups who want to relax in the sun, dive into crystal-clear waters and, with a bit of luck, admire the dolphins that often accompany the journey along the coast.
The excursions take place along the southern coast, in places that can only be reached by sea, where you can discover spectacular views and sheltered coves. After departure from the port of Marina di Campo, Captain Feola will take you to the fishing areas, showing you how nets and pots for octopus fishing are lowered and involving you in hauling in the catch, in an experience that combines tradition and respect for the environment.
Captain Giuliano Feola also speaks German as a native speaker, offering an even more enjoyable experience for German-speaking guests.
The excursions are available in two time slots: the trip with lunch, which takes place from 9:30 am until 3:30/4:00 pm, and the one with dinner, from 4:30 pm to 9:30/10:00 pm. During the stop in a quiet bay, you can enjoy a lunch or dinner based on fresh fish, prepared on the spot by an experienced chef. The dishes, simple and genuine, include first courses made with the catch of the day, baked or grilled main courses, accompanied by bruschetta, typical desserts and the inevitable ammazzacaffè. Everything is accompanied by Tuscan wines and local zero-kilometre products, for a culinary experience that celebrates the authentic flavours of the island.
The services included comprise a professional fishing demonstration, moments of relaxation and fun with sun, sea and snorkelling, as well as tastings of aperitifs, lunches or dinners with Tuscan wines. The excursions are designed for groups of up to a maximum of 12 people, ensuring an intimate and pleasant atmosphere, and discounts are available for children under 12.
