Guided by Captain Gaetano, a fisherman with over forty years of experience, you’ll have the chance to learn the secrets of net and trap fishing, while listening to captivating tales of life at sea — stories of waves, winds, and endless skies.
Every morning, as the sun reflects on the crystal-clear waters, we set sail from the port of Marina di Campo to retrieve the nets cast the night before — but only when the sea allows it. You’ll experience the authentic rhythm of a fishing boat, a mix of hands-on work and quiet contemplation.
After fishing, we’ll move to a secluded cove where relaxation meets simplicity. Gaetano will swap his sailor’s hat for a cook’s apron. On board, you’ll enjoy a simple, honest cuisine made with the freshest local catch, cooked right on the spot.
As the scent of the sea blends with that of freshly prepared fish, you can sip an aperitif, dive into the water, or even join in preparing lunch if you feel like it.
After savoring delicious, genuine dishes, the day will go on with peaceful moments in the transparent waters of Elba, before we lower the nets again and head back to port in the late afternoon.
