Activities for children on the Island of Elba

If you decide to spend your holidays with your family on the Island of Elba, you can choose from a wide variety of activities suitable for both adults and children, and we are sure you will be very surprised at just how varied the choice of outdoor activities is: in Elba your children will be able to take part in the activities they most like from sailing to horse riding!

If your children are adventurous sea lovers they can take up kayak lessons or diving or go snorkelling with you and admire the numerous, beautiful sea creatures that live on the sea bed of Elba. If they want, they can take part in the sailing lessons held by the numerous sailing schools all over the island.

Or go on an excursion to the top of the mountains in the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, an unforgettable experience in the heart of nature! It doesn't matter whether you go on horseback, by bike or on foot, the same routes can be taken in more than one way...even by Chairlift: starting off at Marciana you get to the top of Monte Capanne in only 20 minutes, and from here you can admire the breathtaking view of all the islands of the Archipelago.

No child will want to miss a visit to any of the archaeology museums or the places related to Napoleon that have made Elba famous in all the history books. You can also visit the Aquarium of Elba where you will see an unbelievable amount of different fish, shellfish and mollusks as well as a small fauna museum.

. Older children will no doubt want to go and see the mines on the eastern side of Elba: like the Mine in Rio Marina and the Mine in Capoliveri, probably better decribed as open air museums.

If, on the other hand, you want to do something different, you can always go to one of the amusement parks where people of every age can have fun.
