Cala Giovanna on the Island of Pianosa

A visit to Pianosa is one of the most wonderful experiences you can do while you are on holiday on the Island of Elba; thanks to its beautiful, tiny coves, the different colours of the water and the numerous excursions that are organised there, the entireterritory is both naturally protected and without a doubt unforgettable.

The Tuscan Archipelago National Park has made this island, that was once a prison colony, one of the most beautiful thanks to the numerous activities and types of visitsthat can be done there with the help of the official guides: a tour round the town itself, mountain bike, kayak, snorkelling and trekking excursions, guided tours by bus or with a horse and carriage.

Interesting fact: Since the Island of Pianosa is part of the municipality of Campo nell'Elba, Cala Giovanna too can be considered an Elba beach.

The long, golden fine sands beach is very near both the town itself and the tiny, old port.

Just dive into the shallow, crystal clear water and you will be able to admire the very varied marine fauna on the seabed, while if you decide to go for a stroll as far as the end of the beach you can admire the villa di Agrippa.
