How to get there | You can get to Capraia at any time of the year from the port of Livorno. In the summer months a boat sails from the Island of Elba every week. Departure is every Friday from Portoferraio and also Marciana Marina; the crossings last 2 hours in the former case and 1hour 30 minutes in the latter. |

An excursion to Capraia means you get the chance to admire the beautiful and truly unique coast of the island.nbsp; Before you actually get to the town itself the boat stops in at the beautiful Rossa Cove, where the suggestive red rocks, formed by sediments after thousands of years of magma eruptions, remind us once again that this is the only island in the Tuscan Archipelago to have vulcanic origins.
The moment you land in the tiny port you will see it is full of restaurants, shops, diving centres and agencies where you can book an excursion by boat or dinghy if you want to explore those parts of the island that you can reach only by sea.
Just follow the one and only road suitable for vehicles in Capraia and you will get to the scenic point where the Tower is or the tiny, old part of the town that is made up of stone roads and many anient churches.
Keep going and you will get to Punta Bella Vista from where the breathtaking view stretches right down as far as the water's edge. If you choose to go down one of the numerous, tiny streets that start here, you will get to the rocks from where you can dive into the crystal clear sea around Capraia.
Guided tours | The Tuscan Archipelago National Park organises several tours that leave from the Island of Elba.
There are numerous activities we suggest: excursions (above all the Walking Festival programme), trekking and guided tours with the aim of discovering the different flowers and plants that grow on the island, as well as the agriculture carried out and the techniques used; sea watching to help you get to know the fascinating sea creatures andgeo excursions on a boat to enable you to discover both the geological and morphological characteristics of the one and only volcanic island in the archipelago that also includes an entrance to the Cala Rossa volcano; Snorkelling as well as other activities to suit both adults and children alike, conferences based on particular themes. |
