How to visit Gorgona

Guided tours to Gorgona from the Island of Elba

Gorgona has been included in the National Park, and since there is also a prison there, this means there are limits and restrictions on visits, made possible thanks to the agreement between the Park and the Prison Administration.

Thanks to the connections set up by the Park you can go to the island on a daily excursion from both Livorno and the Island of Elba, as can be read on the calendar of the excursions.

You have to realize that the daily excursions must follow a specific route and can only be done along with an authorized Guide. Remember to bring a packed lunch and water with you, and you must wear suitable footwear and clothing like trekking or hiking boots as well as loose, casual clothes.

Please bear in mind that the Park Guide may not allow you to take part in the excursion if he thinks your footwear might not be suitable. Swimming is strictly forbidden, and you are not allowed to bring a camera, a camcorder or a mobile phone.

Adult tickets cost 65 euros - 35 euros for children aged between 4 and 12 - free of charge for children under the age of 4. The price includes the cost of the return ferry crossing, the entrance fee to the protected area and the assistance of the Park Guide.
