CEA "La Salata" in Capraia

Located in the Capraia marina, the new facility provides all the tourist information necessary to enjoy the beauty of the island.

Multimedia displays in virtual reality and interactive applications allow visitors to experience the geological formation of the Tuscan Archipelago, particularly the volcanic structure that formed the island of Capraia, as well as the various opportunities for exploration via the local trail network.

A specific exhibition is dedicated to the International Sanctuary for Marine Mammals “Pelagos” with images of its extraordinary inhabitants, details about marine fauna, and information on the Tuscan Observatory for Biodiversity.

Inside the “Salata” center, conferences, educational activities, and workshops for adults and children are offered. The courtyard houses three life-sized models of a common dolphin, a spinner dolphin, and a bottlenose dolphin.
