Within the Parco Nazionale Arcipelago Toscano, in Ripalte – Capoliveri, lies Tenuta delle Ripalte, which has been operating since 1896 as an old farm. This natural oasis is home to Elba MTB Capoliveri, with top-of-the-range e-bikes and MTBs.
Like all Elba MTB locations, it is open to both guests and visitors from outside the property. Founded in 2015 under the name Costa dei Gabbiani Bike Center, it later became Bike Center Elba before joining the world of Elba MTB, which includes Elba MTB Lacona and Elba MTB Portoferraio.
All Elba MTB facilities work together to provide the highest level of service.
Elba MTB Capoliveri serves as the Elba MTB experience centre: its location in the heart of Monte Calamita, within a private property (on the Costa dei Gabbiani), makes it one of the most scenic and striking starting points. It offers a wide range of services, including guided activities for beginners and sports enthusiasts, with routes ranging from Gravel to XC and experience rides, MTB courses and training camps, as well as an extensive range of rental options. It is also the summer base of the 365mountainbike portal.
Among the most evocative events is the Night Music Experience: a night-time e-bike excursion that ends on the beach, where participants can listen to an iconic album under a starry sky. There are also tastings on the magnificent terrace of Cantina delle Ripalte, located a short distance from the Bike Center, where local flavours blend with the magic of the setting. Completing the range of activities are the sunset Bike Tours, a romantic experience much appreciated by couples, turning every ride into an enchanting moment beneath Elba's fiery sky. Everything is always accompanied by one of our professional guides, qualified by the FCI (Italian Cycling Federation).
Elba MTB Capoliveri is located within the magnificent Tenuta delle Ripalte Resort, which extends over more than 400 hectares overlooking the sea. Part of the Capoliveri Bike Park trails, with a maze of dirt roads and trails extending for around 100 km, runs through the Tenuta property itself, giving enthusiasts the chance to immerse themselves in unspoilt nature.
Our facility is right in the centre of the Tenuta, on the lawn in front of the tennis courts, the restaurant, the bar and the swimming pool. There is also an excellent Diving Center and the Centro Ippico La Bosana, the only one on Elba. The Tennis Centre is among the most exclusive internationally thanks to important collaborations such as the Riccardo Piatti training camps, which in the past brought a young Jannik Sinner here for many years.
