Capoliveri Bike Park

If you are a cycling lover then Elba is the perfect place for you. The Capoliveri Bike Park can be described as a real, outdoor gymnasium in the breathtaking setting of Monte Calamita, home to the Mountain Bike World Championship in 1994 as well as the Capoliveri Legend Cup held every year.

The Bike Park covers a route of over 100 km and includes various types of paths and roads depending on how long and how difficult they are. Each one is marked off with a different colour and notice that tells you the name of the route and where it goes.

The Bike Park is open to all bikers: from those who feel up to tackling level, smooth roads only, like amateurs and children, to those who are keen followers of bike trials, so feel they can cope with more risky, adventurous routes.

All the routes are unique and grant cyclists breathtaking views: on one side you have Golfo Stella, the Islands of Pianosa and Corsica while on the other you have the Gulf of Porto Azzurro and the coastline of Tuscany. If you follow some of the routes you will get to some of the beaches and tiny coves that you can only get to on foot, by bike or by sea, or to the mines of Ginevro and Vallone.

Not only that, both trekking lovers as well as nature lovers can also tackle some of the routes if they wish.
