Calamita Trail - Capoliveri

There is something different about this race every year, whether it's the date (November or December), the actual routes or the difference in height above sea level. For example the last time it was held (November 2018) the race was 100% on a grit road and you could choose from two different routes: the first was 19.5 km long and at a height of 700 metres above sea level while the second was 12 km long and at a height of 400 metres above sea level.

Meeting place, departure and arrival were all at the Old Workshop Museum, at the sixth km from the road that from Capoliveri leads to the Tenuta delle Ripalte.

You don't usually need to provide a doctor's certifiate if you wish to take part, all you usually need to do is sign a declaration that states you are in good health. Since there are no refreshment points along the way please bear in mind that if you decide to take part you will have to be self sufficient, so have water and mobile with you all the time for the entire 20 km of the race. When you get to the finishing line if you are thirsty you will be offered something to drink as well as fruit and snacks if you are hungry.
