Corri per Marco - Rio Marina

Sports, food and drink, fun and games for children as well as traditions is how they celebrate the 6th of January, day of the Epiphany in the towns of Rio Marina and Rio nell'Elba.

In Rio Marina a lot of activities and races for both children and adults are held: running races, walks, rowing races, archery competitions and the donkey race.

The race known as Corri per Marco was held for the first time in 2016; the route from start to finish is 12 kilometres long and some parts are held along the same route as that of the Miniera in Trail.

The 8 km Befanina and the 4 km Passeggiata per Marco (both for smaller children) are also held as well as the Corsa per Bamboli.

When the races are over, prize giving that usually consists of the dishes that the locals have prepared in the food stands, is held in the square.
