Via dei Ginepri starts off near the football pitch in Seccheto.

In the first part the route coincides with track n. 195 that is part of the "vie del granito", group of tracks that enables you to get to the various antique, granite artifacts and prehistoric sites.

The road continues on the n. 193 and later n. 192 scenic tracks characterized by the presence of crumbled rocks that are so typical of the thermo metamorphoric ring as far as the main road that you will have follow even if only briefly.

As soon as you start on track n. 138 of Colle Palombaia, the itinerary breaks off from Monte Capanne and goes right along the ridges mostly made up of layers of sedimentary rock. The track then goes on to sometimes the high coast that seems to plunge right down into the water, that in the past was covered by cultivated terracings but is now covered by Mediterranean bush, where above all both myrtle and junipers grow. After that the track goes through areas that get the full light of the sun along the cliffs and this is where you can at times admire spectacular and truly unique examples of Phoenician juniper and lush rosemary bushes, while other times the wood vegetation on the northern slopes has the upper hand

Now you take a slight detour on track n. 139 and you will be able to enjoy not only the breathtaking view that overlooks the bay of Marina di Campo but also that of the whole of the southern coast of Elba as well as the islands of Giglio, Montecristo and Pianosa,

Besides this, you can also admire Capo Poro and visit the military posts that date back to the last World War.

If, on the other hand, you continue along track n. 138 you get to the top of so you can then go down to the small town of Marina di Campo and the beach therein.
