Grape Festival

The Festa dell'Uva (Grape Festival) represents an important moment of community gathering for Capoliveri and the entire Island of Elba. It takes place over a weekend in October with a rich program of events - blending serious and lighthearted moments - accessible to everyone.

The event, prepared over weeks of work, involves thousands of people each year and is dedicated to the ancient grape harvest, traditions, and the authentic tastes and flavors of the Island of Elba.

As tradition dictates, the four districts of Capoliveri: Fosso, Fortezza, Baluardo, and Torre, compete in games, challenges, and the historical reenactment of a past moment of life. This performance arises from the desire to reconnect with their traditions and culture, where the participants are both creators, executors, and interpreters in a picturesque and authentic setting.

At the end of the three days of festivities, the most beautiful scene representing the ancient peasant and village traditions is awarded.
