TheElba Film Festival is a review of independant cinema, that came to be in 2019 thanks to the film director, screenwriter and artistic director Nora Jaenicke, who later joined up with Beniamino Brogi, the man who took care of the programming and organizing.
It is dedicated to both the Italian and international short films, documentaries and also animated films, and it came to be due to the desire to create a meeting place for film directors from all over the world, celebrate their work and provide a source of support, motivation and inspiration for all their projects.
The review contains travelling shows, in the heart of the breathtaking panoramas and towns of the island, and shows the competing films that come from all over the world.

ELBA FILM FESTIVAL LAB
In 2022 the Elba Film Festival Lab was born. Thanks to the collaboration with the "Cerboni" High School in Portoferraio, a group of students worked on the demonstration in two separate programmes.
In the Graphic Design Lab the students came up with their own version of an Elba Film Festival poster of 2022.
In the Location Lab the students gave way to a real location scouting, choosing and documenting the places on the island that, in their opinion, were of particular interest. This phase, typical of pre-filming, meant that during the Festival, interviews to the directors of the competing films were filmed and recorded by the students themselves.
