Elba Rally

 For motorsport enthusiasts, the Rallye Isola d'Elba has always had a unique charm connected to the island and road racing.

The history of this competition is one of the most important and, starting in 1968, also one of the longest-running in the world. The first rally on the Island of Elba was won by driver Arnaldo Cavallari in a Lancia Fulvia HF, and since then, there have been Italian, European, gravel, and historic rallies.

In recent years, there has been a new growth trajectory: after its rebirth as a simple ronde in 2007, it first became part of the IRCup, then the Italian WRC Championship, and in 2018 returned to the Italian Rally Championship (CIR), Italy’s top rally competition.

The Rallye Elba represents a historical and sporting heritage that is not only Italian but also international in scope. Indeed, there are few Italian races that are known abroad as a “must,” an unmissable event for both competitors and rally fans. One of these is the Rally Isola d’Elba.

For the Elban community, for whom rallying is always a current topic, it is an endless love. Many Elban crews have participated in the various editions over the years, and some have even come out as winners.

Generally, the rally is present on Elba with two events: the classic WRC event, which usually takes place in late April or May, and in September, the Historic Rally.
