Hilarious donkey race in Marina di Campo

Revived from an ancient tradition, the humorous donkey race is becoming a must at the traditional festivals of Elba. The event begins with a costume parade that winds through the streets of the village, ending at the beach where the donkeys from the different districts, the true stars of the event, compete for the title of the year.

Along the streets of the town, there are food and wine stalls and live music.
