The Careno Diving Center was founded by a group of divers and their deep passion for the sea.
Located in the beautiful setting of Capo Sant’Andrea, in the north-western part of the island, the Diving Center offers various diving options.
From the wonderful shore dive at House Reef, “Le Cote Piane”, one of the most beautiful shore dives on the island, to wall dives or dives on shoals, first and foremost the one that gives us our name, the Careno shoal, as well as departures for Pianosa, Capraia and, on request, Corsica.
Reaching us is very easy from Marciana or Marina di Campo, following the western loop around Capanne. From the provincial road, once you reach the junction for Sant’Andrea / Zanca (well signposted), you begin to descend towards the sea.
The facility is about 20 m from the beach and the boarding point (thanks to a small landing jetty); a convenient eco-friendly trolley (battery-powered) helps us transport tanks and weights to the boarding point.
Capo Sant’Andrea also offers several ways to relax by the sea for non-divers, the beach can be enjoyed both in the free-access area and in the equipped area, while lovers of rocky shores can enjoy the magnificent scenery of Sant’Andrea’s massive granite rocks, with unique spots for seaside life and wonderful plays of colour.
Finally, the famous Cotoncello beach can also be reached on foot.
