A short distance from Porto Azzurro, heading southeast for about three miles, you reach Punta Nera, halfway between Liscoli Islet and Capo Calvo.
The characteristic feature of this dive is the wreck of a small tourist plane, a BN-2A Islander, located at a depth of about 12 meters. This is a twin-engine, eight-seat airplane, in good condition, tilted in flight position on a seabed of sand and posidonia. The plane was forced to ditch due to a failure of the right engine and was later moved by fishing nets to its current position.
The left engine is detached and rests on the sand. The fuselage is entirely covered with encrustations such as sponges, bryozoans, and inside, you can find the burrows of moray eels and congers. The wreck is surrounded by dense shoals of damselfish and bream.
The dive is very easy and short, but being a wreck, it is always fascinating.

infoelba recommends: despite the shallow depth, it is important to approach the dive with caution and care, as it is still a wreck dive.
