Set like a precious gem in the Gulf of Portoferraio, the basin of Terme San Giovanni adjoins the spa complex, established in 1963 in an enchanting and exceptionally panoramic position opposite the Darsena Medicea of Portoferraio. The Centre is surrounded by a large park overlooking the sea and shaded by eucalyptus trees, palms and tamarisks, where guests can walk and relax both before and after treatments.
Terme San Giovanni uses a mud with high therapeutic potential that represents a unique feature in the Italian and European spa sector. The Centre offers Thalassotherapy, which combines all the benefits the sea can provide through water, mud, algae and marine plants. It is precisely thanks to this rich environment that an exclusive range of natural cosmetics and eco-certified organic products has been created.
The spa has qualified staff for mud treatments, baths, inhalation treatments, also under agreement with the National Health Service, as well as hydromassage, massages and beauty treatments.
At Terme San Giovanni it is possible to access the Physiokinesitherapy Centre and Rehabilitation services, with high-level equipment and professionals. Specialist medical consultations are also available (otorhinolaryngology, orthopaedics, aesthetic medicine and nutrition), as well as a Joint MRI service.
In the elegant Wellness Centre, guests have access to the Thermarium, the ideal place for complete relaxation of body and mind: Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, hydromassage pool, sensory shower, indoor and outdoor relaxation area, herbal tea corner. There is also the Haloroom®, the “Salt Room”, where just one session provides the same benefits as three days by the sea.
