Acquaviva, Enfola, Viticcio, aptly named the 'GREEN COAST'
thanks to it's rigorous vegetation and the transparency of it's turquoise coloured sea is integrally part of the National Park.
The Enfola peninsular is to be found in a western direction only 5 kms. from the capital town of Portoferraio and gathers together the enchanting suburb villages of Enfola, Acquaviva and Viticcio, all with age-old seafaring and rural traditions- still visible are the terraced vineyards and the island's once most important tuna-fishing station.
It's high and rocky coastline is interrupted by sand and white pebble beaches, the peninsular is linked to Elba by an isthmus offering breathtaking views, crystal clear waters, charming coves and an impressive network of mountain footpaths winding midst the colours and scents of the Mediterranean woods.
The area offers an excellent selection of modern and comfortable hotels, camping-sites ,restaurants, various services and convenient parking areas. The 'Amici dell'Enfola' (a self-sponsored, non-profit- making organization) manages the mooring buoys, slipway and other services.
