116117 (one one six one one seven) is the new European Single Number for accessing non-urgent medical care and other health services. The number is free and accessible from both landline and mobile phones.

Tourist Medical Service
The tourist medical service offers seasonal health assistance to non-residents, both Italians and foreigners, who are on temporary vacation.
Available Services
Ambulatory visits by phone appointment and home visits on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturdays and holidays from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Ticket Costs
Prescription repeat €10.00, ambulatory visit €15.00, home visit €25.00.
Note: Residents should contact their family doctor or pediatrician, or the continuity care service during the hours when the service is active.
Continuity Care Service
The continuity care service (formerly known as the medical guard) provides healthcare during the night, weekends, and holidays.
- Weekdays: from 8:00 PM until 8:00 AM the following day
- Weekends: from 8:00 AM on Saturday until 8:00 AM on Monday
- Holidays: from 10:00 AM on the day before the holiday until 8:00 AM on the first weekday
Ticket Costs
The medical guard service is free for residents in Tuscany. Non-residents within the regional territory are required to pay a fee of €20 for an ambulatory visit and €30 for a home visit.
