The Borghetto sul Golfo is an authentic ancient village, connected to a now disused limestone quarry. Located on Colle Crestinone, it is nestled amidst lush greenery in a quiet and peaceful environment, offering splendid views of the Gulf of Portoferraio, extending to the island of Capraia on the horizon.

The property has three apartments, each with independent entrance and an equipped outdoor area with table, chairs, and loungers, ideal for relaxing moments.

The complex is surrounded by a magnificent botanical garden, unique on the island, hosting about a hundred plant species, both native and non-native.

Walking through the garden and reading the names of the various plants is a zen experience.

Three-room Casa Lentisco

This apartment offers the most evocative view of Portoferraio. It has an outdoor table with chairs and loungers, and it's the only one equipped with a barbecue. Includes a bedroom with king-size bed, a bedroom with sofa bed and mezzanine with two single beds, a bathroom with shower and bidet including a hand shower, and a dining area with kitchenette. It's the only apartment with pellet heating.

Two-room Casa Nepetella

This apartment consists of a bedroom with a French bed in an alcove, a dining area with sofa bed, a kitchenette, and a bathroom with shower and bidet with hand shower. Outside, guests can enjoy a space with table, chairs, and loungers under a pergola.

Studio Casa Timo

An intimate environment with kitchenette, king-size bed, and bathroom with shower and bidet with hand shower. Outside, there is a space with table, chairs, loungers, and an umbrella.

Refuge for Hikers on the GTE

Strategically located, Il Borghetto sul Golfo offers an exclusive service tailored for hikers seeking a restorative break along the Grande Traversata Elbana (GTE) trail. The property is accessible via a mule track, branching off from the GTE, leading hikers to our doorstep in just a 30-minute walk.

Our service for hikers includes an overnight stay, dinner, breakfast, and a packed lunch, all available for €45 per person.

Hospitality and Services

Guests can use the entire garden, respecting the privacy of the individual units. A parking space in the property's parking lot is also included.

Pets are welcome. We accept dogs of medium size or smaller, with a daily surcharge of 5 euros. Within the property, pets must be kept on a leash, even a long one, due to the presence of other animals living permanently in the place.
