The Sardi Hotel is small and family run; it is in Pomonte, a small, characteristic town on the Western coast of the Island of Elba, only a few metres from the crystal clear water that is unbelievably pristine in a quiet and very suggestive pebble beach with granite cliffs at the back.
It lies at the foot of the mountains and if you walk along the typical Mediterranean tracks deep in the heart of nature it is perfect for several outdoor sports as well as trekking. Those who decide to spend a holiday on the Island of Elba will find Pomonte a seaside resort that is made to measure because here they can regain their strength with the sound of the waves before them and the scents of the mountains behind them.
The hotel has 25 comfortable bedrooms all with private bathroom that consists of shower cabin, hairdryer, and free complimentary toiletries; in the bed room guests have Sat TV, a mini bar they can use if they wish, independent air conditioning, a safe, free WiFi, and some also have a balcony overlooking the sea.
The hotel also provides: A bar with colour TV, solarium terrace, free car park, a garage for bicycles, free mountain bike rental as well as E-bikes at a fee.
The mild climate in Elba enables you to come across out of season, whether you want a relaxing break or whether you want to practice individual sports or with a group with specialized professional guides; the Hotel is in contact with: Diving schools, Trekking organizations, Mountain Bike and Sea Kayak rentals.
If you follow the tracks across the Tuscan Archipelago National Park as far as the summit of Monte Capanne you will see one of the most breathtaking and greenest valleys on the island.
At the Sardi Hotel a good beginning bodes well... Your day starts with a hearty and tasty buffet breakfast where you can enjoy excellent, home made cakes, especially the fruit pies and tarts as well as hand made cakes, all made by Odetta, or, for those who prefer, you can have a savoury breakfast.
The BAR in the Hotel is open every day from 7.00 am to 20.30 pm and is at guests’ complete disposal. If you wish, you can have a cappuccino on the terrace, or treat yourself to a snack, have a light lunch consisting of “schiaccine”, sandwiches, delicious cold dishes and desserts or a fresh fruit salad, or even sip a cocktail specially prepared by our Barman as you relax in our small sitting room overlooking the sea and admire the breathtaking sunsets over Corsica and the background.
And what about your dinner? You will find our leaflet with the restaurant and pizzeria menus with which we have an agreement, both in Pomonte and in the nearby towns, so guests in our hotel can be sure of special discounts in prices.
