It is the latest ferry that belongs to the Toremar Shipping Company, called the "strong>Lora Abbundo, and it joined the fleet in March 2012.
Its name was changed to "Rio Marina Bella" specifically for the occasion, and its arrival inaugurated the Shipping Company's new logo and colours; this year Toremaris no longer a regional company because it became private.
It is quite a new ferry, built in 2004 by the Rodriguez shipbuilders in Pietra Ligure, and up to the year 2011 it sailed in the Gulf of Naples.
It is 80 metres long and 15 metres wide, and weighs 2390 tons. It sails at a speed of 19 knots, and can carry up to 900 passengers and 85 cars.
